Talking Advice, Tips or Tricks for a Green Horn

Hi everyone, I'm Rob and I have been a full time Realtor for about 4 months. I was hoping that some of you vetrans could lend me a hand with advice on how to drum up some business. I have a farm area of about 350 homes and I have been passing out informational flyers and other goodies once a week. I'm also doing a mailer to the homes in my track. I have been to training classes, started the GRI series and I am always reading up on what's going on in the RE world. I started a blog, facebook & fanpage and I have a website. I have asked other agents if I could sit on their open houses but everyone is sitting on their own hoping to catch business for themselves.
    Any advice would be great.

    Thanks

    Welcome Rob,

You will find a lot right here, but have you tracked the turn over rate of your farm yet? One thing I learned when I got into the biz was that people were farming areas that had extremely low turn over. When asked why, all they could say to me was...This is my farm.

Best way to get listings is with FSBO's and your Circle of Influence. Best way to get buyers is web presence and your circle of influence.

    Hello and welcome aboard Rob.

Sounds like your off to a good start. Try to find a good mentor - someone you respect in the biz and ask them what is working for them in your area.

I would work on getting traffic to my web site and going after FSBO's if you have nothing else.

I agree with Ryan as far as generating traffic to your website. Most people on here are very into their lead generation programs with their websites. Before you start driving traffic though, be sure that your site has the proper capture tools set up to generate leads. Feel free to PM me if need any help understanding that stuff. I'ld be glad to give you a few tips!
