Doesn't really matter, though, as Yahoo! and Google are ignoring 'nofollow' links and following them anyway.

Yes, that's understandable. Blog spam can certainly be a pain to deal with.

What I did on one of my blogs is install the "Comment Link Manager" Plugin which essentially removes all the links from comments. They have to have at least 10 comments (which you can change) on my blog before any link from a blog comment will show up as a link.

I would be interested in seeing "proof" on this. Google and Yahoo might use nofollow to discover pages, but I have never seen anything credible that states they give any credit to nofollow links.

Yea, they canned the links in the comments section and then (I believe this is new also) they added a no follow to the webiste link on the member pages.

No offense to Inman, but a lot of the posts are really not that important IMHO. You usually can find better info on the particular subjects elsewhere.

It will be interesting to see what happens to the site (as far as commentors go) now that they dumped the links.

I did receive a little traffic from Inman. I noticed recently that they wouldn't allow links.
