Of course now the tax credit has been extended to sales occurring on or before April 30, 2010. If you can enter in to a binding purchase agreement by April 30 you have up until June 30 to close the transaction. Plus the tax credit has been expanded to include qualified repeat homebuyers. They can qualify for a tax credit of 6500. This is good new for real estate agents. I think it has helped the real estate market here in West Michigan.

The nice thing about this last tax credit extension is that even though qualifying for it ends in April, you only have to be in contract before May 1st. Then you have until the end of July to close on the property. This allows one to make a move without disturbing their families.

According to the information I have you need to close your transaction by July 1st. Has that been changed, or is my information wrong?
