301 redirects

Can I do these myself? if so, where? I've got an LEC 3

If you have the 301 redirect module listed on this page http://www.realestatewebmasters.com/...ms-modules.php then you can do them using that module. If you only have a couple we can usually do them in a small project - however - the 301 redirect module is a good thing to have for future usage.

Just to clarify this module will be useful for redirecting pages on your site. For example if you had "/buyers.html" on your old site and you wanted to redirect to the new page on your rew site "/buying.php" - or if you'd renamed a page.

I say this in case you are looking to 301 redirect other domain names to your portlandrealestatecafe.com domain - as redirecting domain names would be different.

so, I have about 30 pages from my old site that I want redirected to new pages on the new site.... same domain name.

what would that cost?

Ah - shouldn't take more than an hour if you give us all the old and new links ( pages ) .... however - I just had a client who went this route and ended up coming back a few months later with another set of redirects - so I do suggest the module.

If you want to go the manual route - we'll set up a 1hr project and you can email me the links to redirect - or I can set up the 301 redirect module project.

I had a point2site and had REW do the initial redirects, but when analyzing Google Webmaster tools I saw that I was getting some juice from links other than my main pages that were redirected and wanted to reclaim that juice. The Redirect module lets me reclaim that juice any time I see something broken pop up in the webmaster tools.
