    Default Safe Ways of Investing

With today's unstable economy, it is not a safe venture to do any type of investing especially in the stock market. The stock market is up and down like a see-saw way too risky.

However, you know that you do need to invest some money for the hard times that are yet to come or you may even need to stash away some money to have a nice retirement on.

Unbelievably there are some fairly, safe ways of investing some of your money. However, these types of investments are not going to bring in large amounts of returns unless you were to invest a great deal of money into them to begin with.

The Banks, Savings and Loans and the Credit Unions all have a form or different forms of CD a CD means a Certificate of Deposit. You will want to search around to find the smaller banks these usually offer the higher interest rates. When the CD matures, you will have a greater amount of money than what you opened the CD with plus all of the interest that the CD has built up over the three month to a five-year period.

The banks use the money that you deposit into the CD's to lend money, and to invest into other areas. The bank then pays you an interest rate to pay you for letting them use the money for the term of the CD. This is a secured investment because the banks and lending establishments have insurance to ensure the safety of your money.

Banks and the other financial institutions also offer interest bearing savings accounts these offer a high rate of interest as well and are often, chosen over the CD's because the investor can withdraw money at any time with a savings account. The investor cannot withdraw from the CD without having to pay a penalty if the total or a portion of the CD is, removed before the CD matures.

Both of these types of investing will make money however, they will not generate money as fast or be as profitable as the stock market could. On the other hand, you could loose a great deal of money by investing in the stock market. With the Cd's and the saving accounts you always know where your money is and that it is safe and producing more income or making more money for you without you having to do anything. All you need to do is to open the CD or Savings account and let the accounts do the rest.

Yes correct. You have to balance things first if it's a right timing to invest in a particular month.

If you're a low risk taker then a CD or saving account is your best option. The best way to make your money grow, however, is through the much-riskier stock market.

Anything that markets that "it will grow in value in so and so years" is always a risky investment. These are investments that are tied up to the stockmarket, which means that it goes up and down based on the movement of the stocks. Money invested in common savings accounts in banks are more safe because they are insured.
