Are you asking about qualities to look for when investing in beachfront properties? "Comfortable" and "glamorous" are not necessarily synonymous. In any case, as others have already mentioned, you cannot go wrong with a nice view of the ocean, a nice deck, and a short walk to the beach.

I once considered the idea of a beachside property as the ultimate luxury. The idea that the moment you wake up, the beach is out there at your doorstep is very exiting. Then the 2004 tsunami happened. Now whenever people ask me what is the first question they should ask about a beachside property, I say, "ask if there is an underwater faultline nearby". Paranoid? Maybe.
