A sales man from India is calling you - What is the first thing that you think of?

Yes, a sales man from India is calling you to tell you about an investment opportunity.

You can cleary hear that he have an India-accent.

He will do a short presentation of interesting projects for you to invest in.

What is the first thing that comes up in your mind?

"Cheap outsourcing in call centers" - Or that this is a

"proffesional broker that is giving you a high class investment opportunity that will make you money."

I KNOW that other factors are invlolved if you want to make business with this man or not.

I'm from Sweden - I don't think it sounds to good when a man from Sweden is talking english with a swedish accent - I always try to sound american.

I would definitely think of a call center agent. Especially if they have some kind of presentation. It always seems so rehearsed.

"Another American job outsourced for 50cents an hour." That's what I'd think. I almost never entertain telemarketing calls especially when I cant understand anything about what they are talking about because of their thick accent.

Telemarketing calls are very rehearsed. Often times the guy would just start at one point and keep on going in a monotonous voice for eternity. That's a drag!

You wanna sell me something? It doesn't matter where you are from, however you have got to take me head on.
Talk to me. Ask me questions. Feel me out a bit. Figure out how should you sell your product. I need to feel that you are actually trying to sell me something that is worth my while and not your commission.

When somebody I don't know calls me with an "investment" opportunity ..... I think scam. I then ask if I can talk directly to the Nigerian government official.

I had this phone call today. A guy calls me at home and says he's from Indian organization of investors. After I asked him to give me his home number so I can call him back (Seinfield episode), he told me it will only take a few minutes to gather my personal information and setup an account.

These cold calls are extremely annoying. On caller ID, the number was unavailable. I wish they would stop treating people like idiots.

Sorry, I'm having a bad day, so I might sound a little like a jerk, but we all deserve those days.

I'd probably think it was coming from a call center that was sought after for it's dirt cheap outsourced labor.
