    Default Late Night/Weekend Sign Ups

    Hey Everyone,

I have been getting a descent amount of leads to my website lately, and they are coming in at all times of the day/week. I get a text message sent directly to my phone when a new prospect signs up on our site so I am notified immediately of a sign up.

My question to everyone is. When you get a late night sign up, like 10pm to 3 am, do you call them immediately? For example, the other night I was up late on saturday, and a new lead came in at around 11pm. Would you guys call them then because the faster you contact them, the higher the conversion rate? Or is that too late and I should just call them in the morning?

Would it be weird to get called at 11pm from an agent if you signed up on a website? lol!

IMO, calling prospective clients at such off-hours (their time) is not a wise decision.

I don't call them (but they do get my autoresponder) and if you wanted to know for sure - just ask in your autoresponder (would you like a phone call right away?)

I would NOT call at all hours or you might find them returning your calls at all hours. I would send an e mail if you cant sleep, but thats as far as I'd go

I would not call them at 3am. I like to sleep at that time.

I think if you call someone after hours, you might seem desperate to the buyer. If you call them in the morning, they will see that you have a set schedule and consider you more of a professional.

I just know myself. If someone calls me after 8pm regarding any of the services, they hear about it. I work hard all day and I have a family, so in the evening I like to relax and spend MY time with my wife and kids.

My cut off time is 6pm. People have dinners after they come home from work. They want to relax and not talk to someone who wants their business.

Now, with that being said. If it's 8pm and someone emails me with a question and are asking me to contact them, yes I will call. But if it's someone who just registers to view MLS listings, they will be contacted the following morning. If they're not available in the morning, I will contact them again in the afternoon, the following day, etc.

I've been wondering the same thing...except what if you have a live online chat on your website and they contact you through your live online chat after say...9pm, then what?

You've got to be kidding me? Call at 11 PM. Most people work in a 9-5 job. They are probably relaxing in front of TV and computer before going to bed. They may have kids sleeping. I would be furious if my phone rang at that time!

I would respond via email if it's late, then you may follow up with a phone call the next day. That said, it would have to be a very nice lead with a good question about a property at a good price range. Other than that it moves up to Monday actually.

I would make the reply short and sweet, that way it seems like you took a quick minute to get back to them but that you'll elaborate more on your phone call the next day.

I wouldn't call anyone past 8pm. However, that doesn't mean that you can't contact them through a live chat button if you use them (still not sure I would do that one) or you can send them an email letting them know you are on the computer if they have any questions while they are looking.
