Creating a Snippet

Need help creating a snippet that pulls listings by Section/Subdiv/Development

Hi Jim,

I don't see a field in the IDX data for "Section/Subdiv/Development" .... your MLS board is one of the stricter ones as far as what data they give out. They are one of the few left ( that I know of ) that don't allow mapping of listings. So it's likely not an IDX approved field. I'll see if we can get confirmation from your board on this.

Yep. I'll let you know when I hear something. I've been trying to get them to tell me this morning but she keeps avoiding my question.

Here is the response I received from the board:

"No, this field is currently not in the IDX feed because Address field is NOT available. However beginning on November 2nd the address field will become available BUT it is an Opt-IN process. The Broker of Record has to fill out an addendum to the original agreement should he wish to release the address to the IDX feed. If he sends the agreement we will then send the address and Section/SubDiv/Development, however if the agreement is not received the two fields will be empty in the feed. Below is the email we sent to everyone, and a link to the addendum."

Not sure who you are talking to at GSMLS but the address field should not have anything to do with this.

I'm not sure why she mentioned the address.. but she does say that the fields you're looking for are not available.

Actually.. funnily enough, we just received an email yesterday from the board saying they are going to allow this now.

I don't know why she didn't say yes in the first place.
