interesting. I would have thought it would have been early 2010. I guess with large companies its hard to move too fast. Or maybe they have long term agreements with some advertisers.

It will be interesting to see if yahoo loses market share between now and then assuming their results are going to get worse since it has to be a low priority.

Let's be serious here, if their search was any good they would not have gotten their butts kicked by Google.

Thanks for the clarifications. I don't really like Bing so I am not sure if I understand what the reasons for the combination of Yahoo and Bing are.

I think it's because Yahoo! is broke and dying and Microsoft wants a larger share of the search market. They're both horrible, but they (Microsoft) probably figure that the combined market share of the two engines will give them a better foundation to build on.

The end of Yahoo can't come soon enough. Their search results are littered with junk. How many REW sites that do well in G or M do well in Y? My guess is few. There is really no understanding of how they rank and present data and sites.

Any update on this? I am interested as I was not aware of this story (I am new to the whole SEO world and this is obviously a big impact on that).

I`ve tested Bing a little bit and it is really good...but still..you can`t compare it with Google.
