You have started down the right path with this site, but for me here in Virginia, it took a very long time to load the Home page. The featured home photos on the Home page need to be saved as separate thumbnails instead of having the HTML try to scale the larger versions "on the fly", as it takes way too long for them to load due to their original size. (The 2nd house alone shows an image size of 768 pixels wide by 1024 pixels tall.) Always remember the "Rule of 20". For fast loading graphics, no graphic or photo should really be bigger than 20kb unless you are sure you are in an area with very widespread broadband connectivity by your visitors. That way, your graphics should "pop" onto the screen!
There are some other site design aspects that could be enhanced too to give a more visually pleasing experience to the visitor. Furthermore, there seems to be little search engine optimization done when looking at the source code of the site too. So once the problems with site loading, graphics and design elements are fixed, be sure to focus on the next step to really get this web site found by visitors.

Wow it took a long time to load! Most people will move on before your site gets fully loaded.
Ditto on the slow loading, way too long.
I like the design of the site header, visually interesting collage of photos. Top Nav is good as well.
I like that you are displaying listings front and center on site.
I don't like the plain green background, seems very dated like sites that were around 10 years ago.
Too many different and competing fonts (size and color) in the left and right side bars. Pick the one you like best and stick with it with it
I am not having any such problem of site taking too much time for opening, its opening fine for me and it has all the features which a good site must have.
NICE SITE![]()
I have to echo what has already been said, long load time and the colors do not appeal to me.

Its taking a long time to load here, you have to do something about it.
pretty slow site, take me 2 minute to load.
Craigslist still a great traffic sources ,if you have problem on posting, please visit:www.craigstrafficsolution.info
I have resized my images and the site's pages are all HTML. What could be the reason for slow download.
Hi,
Where are you hosting your site? When I went to see it again, you certainly did a nice job of cutting down the graphic file sizes. For example, the header graphic, Raydon Banner, is a .gif at only 68 kb. Yet it still took a while to download and display in Firefox. That graphic is 960 x 158 but your HTML source code is scaling it to 949 x 155. Yet that wouldn't explain it slowly coming in.
My current download speed on my Mac is 2976 kbps, so the problem is not on my side. So I would talk to your web site host. What kind of connection is their server on? How much traffic is going through that server and how busy is it? How many simultaneous connections is it handling? That may get you on the right track. It may no longer be your site, but instead may be their web server.
Hope that helps...
