East Valley Town Taking Off Again

The East Valley town of Gilbert is restarting its booming growth pattern. There have been over one-thousand new home permits this year, with 116 last month. As a comparison, Phoenix had 109 new home permits in the same month. Great news for the builders!
Does anyone see this happening in their areas?

I agree with you Lyle. The East Valley is on fire right now. Even investors are paying eighty cents on the dollar for homes out there. In the west valley, Buckeye is hot for spec homes.

I have been steering people towards new homes here in Gilbert because it's too hard and too competitive to get into a short sale or a foreclosure most of the time, and people don't want to buy a resale home when they can buy a new one for cheaper. That's probably over-generalization, and I am fairly new at this real estate stuff, but that's my take on it, for what it's worth.

East valley town taking off again,The Phoenix East Valley graticule bisects Sky Harbor Airport on the western edge and the small town Top of the World along the US 60 on the eastern edge. Exploring the eastern and northern halves of this graticule will likely require a high clearance vehicle and significant cross-country hiking through potentially rugged terrain.
