You are correct that the cache date is the last date at which Google's spider crawled the page.

No one can tell you when the penalty assessed against your site will be removed. As I said in my previous posts, I've seen them return in a couple of weeks and I've seen them take a couple of months.

Did you send the re-inclusion request? If so, there is nothing more that you can do except to wait.

I have sent the re-inclusion email and I have spend a lot of hours making changes to the site. I guess it's just a "wait and see." I also just bought Search Engines Optimization for Dummies (Peter Kent). I realize now there's a lot to learn. Thank you for all the recommendations and support. You all are great.

Hey John, I own that book (SEO for Dummies) and almost memorized it The book needs a new edition. I was trying to use it before I started associating myself with these fine experts in this forum. Let's just say if I had continued to go in a blind route of an older book, I would have been banned by google a long time ago. Read that book (it is a good beginner source) but just make sure to read the intermediate level details in the past threads of this forum.
