    Question www.the-extreme-team.com

The site is NOT completed but before I get too far into it I'd love some feedback.

I'm going with a very simple/direct site, without all the content to hopefully "keep it simple stupid" and get more leads.

    Thanks for checking it out!

Again, please do not comment to tell me that all my pages are not up yet - this site is NOT done yet. Just want comments on the general design/set up of it.

Well just honest blunt opinion. There is nothing extreme about the website. The word extreme goes along with hot attractive, tempting usually. I dont know I just dont see it I guess. Nothing that says to your clients/potential clients in the website that says yea they must be good. visually or verbally.

I believe there's a huge difference between what you're calling "simple" and what I would view as "professional". This site is certainly simple. It is plain and uninteresting. There is nothing, IMO, that would compel a buyer or seller to bother reading through it. It's also not very professional admitting that you're only paying $7.95/mo. for your hosting which is flashing at the bottom for all to see. My Cook County site, below (which I will be changing soon as I'll be moving this site to one of Morgan's templates) charges around what you're paying (actually less), but I certainly don't advertise that to prospects & clients. I've never been very happy with that particular template & how I have to set things up as it's not a real estate related web host so I can't wait to get my new template.

Your mortgage rates aren't even inside the site borders. Sorry...
Money Magazine says that Orland Park real estate is one of the best places to live in the U.S. Check out Homer Glen homes if you're interested in living in the newest Chicago suburb. Next door, Lemont homes are the priciest in the southwest suburbs and have held their value, even appreciating while prices in other areas have gone down.

    Thanks for your comments.

As I mentioned the site isn't done. I see that the link to the mortgage rates is not lined up correctly at the present time.

My question was regarding the logo. I have been getting mixed opinions on it.

Some say that its TOO extreme while others say its NOT extreme enough. Thats why I wanted to post it here to get realtors opinions.

As far as simple goes. My main site is simple and I receive several full leads a day from it so I definitely think simple works.

This site is realestatewebmaster so I hope I am not going out on a limb when I suggest that a webmaster should check and validate the site's html and css (style sheets) before making a site public.

You can check and validate html here ...

    Hi Susan,

If we sounded like we offended you we apologize. We (Judy and I), the Chicagoland people can be blunt sometimes and I always believe blunt is good. Well, if you believe the simple works for you(which it does for me (other than my flash site my website is as simple as possible), god be with your simple site. But you expect something not so simple from a website that claims to be extreme, in an extreme market like yours you could even try to do some optimization work to get to your market area. (send a private message in this forum to the "webmaster"). The opportunities are endless in the sea of real estate.

    Mert,

I like blunt. I'm blunt as well.

I just wanted an opinion on the logo, I said the site wasn't done yet.

It will definitely be optimized just like my current site which has several #1-5 rankings for local real estate keywords.

Guess I should have posted somewhere else besides the "website review" thread...lol

    Thanks
    ~Susan

The logo and the name remind me of a skiing team?? I don't know why, but I picture a person skiing under the logo, not a real estate website in Florida, maybe in Aspen!
