Trying to break the mold a bit...
Just launched a second website for a client. This website is strictly designed to (hopefully) get listings. Nothing else. Not geared toward buyers at all, does not offer MLS listings, town information, school information, etc.
It is specifically only to sell customers who are thinking of selling their home on using THIS agent because his marketing and internet skills are superior, and therefore the property will get sold faster and for a higher price.
Having searched the internet, I have never found a site quite focused like this. This could be a great source of leads... or a big fat dud!
He's promoting it with two full page advertisements a week apart in the local newspaper, so it's being promoted in a BIG way (obviously)... again, trying to break the mold a bit. The ad will not feature any listings, photos of houses, 'get a free CMA' or all the other standard and typical realtor ad copy.... but will simply compliment and promote this new website and the whole 'list with me because I can market it better' concept.
Obviously, most realtors WANT to list homes... and for many, getting listings is the most difficult part.
As the market begins to slow down, properties take longer to sell, etc., we're trying to plant some seeds now...
Suggestions? Good idea? Bad idea? Are we nuts? This is the site: I Sold This House.com
