    Cool Facebook and PPC?

I'm not sure how many agents are using Facebook to their full advantage. I personally am not so much into the "social" benefits as I am into the "marketing" benefits.

If you haven't tried pay-per-click on Facebook, you might want to give it a shot.

    1) you can find $50 credit coupons all over the place to start your campaign. Free cash is always nice. Just do a Google search.

    2) I think it's a little easier to use than Google or Yahoo simply because there are not as many details to mess with. Of course that means you're a little more limited but #3 makes up for it......

    3) You can target your prospects like crazy. You can do the same with Google but Facebook let's you really dig down into the demographic info.

The stinky thing is that the CTR (click-through-rate) are tiny compared to Google and Yahoo. It's not uncommon to have under a .01 CTR. Yea, really. But if you're paying for clicks and not for impressions, you'll be fine. It'll just take a bit longer to get the click throughs.

Plus, the CPC (cost-per-click) is relatively cheaper than the big boys like Google. It'll probably change but it's nice for now.

Anyway, check them out. Just another marketing tool to use!

I have done a ton of marketing using Facebook PPC. It's a great tool to really drill down and target an area. However, with that said, I get very few clicks using Facebook and even less leads. Our lead capture which on Google runs around 8% runs less than 3% on Facebook.

Now the good news. It's an awesome branding tool for virtually no money. I had over 10 million impressions for around $1500. I had a ton of people tell me they had seen us on Facebook. So my thought is, the less compelling the ad, the more free marketing since you only pay per click!

i set up a ppc on facebook and really narrowed down on the demographics. Too narrow, I guess, as I've never had visitors. Time to look into it again.

I know someone that uses facebook advertising for marketing his music classes and it seems to be a decent lead generator. Never used it myself but seriously considering giving it a try, especially with the incentives mentioned in the first post.

I don't think you really mean to say that a less compelling advertisement is better. I agree that narrowing the demographic is key but these are two different things completely. The idea is to optimize conversion, not to minimize clicks.

I think the very nature of the two sites (google vs. facebook) you could assume that facebook would have lower clicks. Google is where people go to search. Facebook is where people go to be social. A click on facebook it seems to me, would be a "catch your eye" click more than someone who is actually looking for a home. Just my .02

You really have to have a great ad on Facebook.. The problem I came across is I would get people to click on the Ad but not like the page. This got expensive really fast. I ended up spending just over 50 dollars and only 3 likes before I shut off the campaign. Just a little to pricey for me.

I see facebook PPC as being a good tool for other businesses. I don't think it's a good way to target buyers or sellers in real estate. I don't have statistics based on any personal experience, but it makes sense that you would get a lower ROI with the Facebook ads when you compare it to Google AdWords. If I had a really big budget to work with, I'd probably do it anyways just to get my name out there. Otherwise, as far as PPC goes, I'd stick with AdWords.

I think Google adwords is best but it's very costly these days. There is a lot of competition raising the cost per click.
