    Default Link Exchange Question

    Hello,

I have a link exchange question I am hoping someone can answer for me. I often get sites that pre-post my link etc. and then want a reciprocal link. When I go to their site it seems every page has PR except their links page. Is this because their pages are most likely new, or because they are blocking the PR flow? Is there a way to tell?

Here is the most recent example: http://www.home-financing-online.com/UsefulLinks.aspx

Links can be blocked using mod_rewrite in the .htaccess file, the robots.txt file or using a noindex nofollow on the pages linking to the links page, in this case however I think its just a new page is all. They dont have a robots.txt and those types of sleezy manuvers are generally not practiced by anyone who knows anything now because PR conservation isnt as important.

Don't get too excited though, I reckon it might get a PR2, that's assuming the HP keeps a 3

Thanks for the tips. What about framed sites as in this case: http://sellingjeffersoncounty.com/Na...ger.com/122102

Our spider says that page has no links

Check any of the links on that page e.g. www.orlandovillasforsale dot com

Check the backlinks from the site you mention

That site is sure dodgy. If you were to do a right click -> properties on that page, you will find that it's link is pointing to http://linksmanager.com/122102/ . I normally will not exchange links with those site.

By the way, my exchange links were just newly added. Would you be interested in exchanging links with me. I have also send you a PM.

Oh by the way, I go to Prog or Google or any other back link checker and I only ever find 8 links on Google, yet tons more on Altavista or whatever. How do I get more of my back links to show up in Google? Also, will this affect placement?
