I suspect Lois likes the fact that you've surfed off but her face is still on your screen. You're still at her site so, for her, you haven't really gone and she might get you back.

yes, but Sarah, I'd like to point out that you can make it open in a new window very easily so that you stay on her website, then when you close down your browser that you had clicked away in, there is still a browser open at her site, and it's the last site she may see again before she closes everything down.

    Hi Jason

I guess that comes down to personal preference. I was trying to explain why Lois has chosen to present her links in that way and why she may not be open to the simple change. I haven't actually seen anyone do that for years, who'd have thought websites could be retro?!

Personally I open in a new window if I want to prevent a visitor leaving. Others leave it to the user to choose to open in a new window and then there's Lois and her ilk.

    Greetings Sarah

That's alright. You want to know retro, my website is retro. It's actually kinda funny. Never submitted to any search engine. Honestly I don't want it spidered by any search engine. My own website is basically a reference website for myself. However how retro it is and the easy to use layout it has for me is loved by Yahoo. And unfortunatly I rank number one on yahoo for a lot of things I'd rather not. I'd rather not anyone knows my website exists. It doesn't rank at all on google. Google doesn't spider it, nor does any other search engine. Just yahoo for some reason and it ranks me number one on quite a few accidental keywords.

    Cheers
    Jason
