Yuck, I went from #7 to #22...what are your thoughs? I think that the age of the site now has a lot more weight from looking at my area's results. I know it's not quality![]()
Stayed #1 for my main term, but lost a few spots on every other one I checked. Keyword stuffed domains are doing very well in Yahoo...hate that.

I have looked at the new SERP's from these business sectors this morning and compared them to the old ones and nothing jumps out at me as to what is driving the changes in SERP's (not that I can peg an algo, but there are usually a few common traits of the sites that we design versus the competition with each algo change).
Is anyone seeing anything specific?
Wow, in my last post about Yahoo I had started dropping (from 1 to 11) but I'm now down to 46! I have been at #1 for a long time. Now I'm really wondering if this is a Point2 problem as this is my Point2 site which is the one I've had out there the longest (Oak Lawn).
My Cook County site has better position at #21 for the main site & #42 for an internal page about Oak Lawn. I don't get much traffic from Yahoo nor for these kw's anyway as it's such a niche site but when you drop that badly it makes you wonder why. Especially when you've been at #1 for particular kw's for such a long time, why such a huge drop?
Money Magazine says that Orland Park real estate is one of the best places to live in the U.S. Check out Homer Glen homes if you're interested in living in the newest Chicago suburb. Next door, Lemont homes are the priciest in the southwest suburbs and have held their value, even appreciating while prices in other areas have gone down.
I'm seeing a trend towards sites that have good one way links. And very small link pages...no directories. No evidence of a time factor. My oldest site took the biggest hit from #1 to page 6...for my main term...other terms dropped but not as bad.
Guess we have some work to do. Yahoo always loved my sites....I could get a top ten spot within a month of launching a new site.
I have a customer who we built two sites for...one was used to trade links the other was the recipient of the link trades....before this update the both sites were in the top ten...now the site that houses the links is gone from the top ten and the other site is still at #1
Looks like three way links could be a factor.....but I'm just going on a hunch.
My Point2 site has also dropped whereas my other site has moved up.
Seems to me there is a Point2 issue.

My point 2 has also dropped. I was switching between the top 3 for a very long time.

Yahoo has been bouncing around all day. It could be that the new results are still propagating through their systems.
