To the extent you can get people to interact with your PB page, it spreads through their freinds. Also, it is builds more links to your site. I haven't cracked the code for real estate, but here's mine (mostly home building stuff)

Hi Eric, Joe is right. The real beauty of FB is the viral aspect. Whenever you post something it shows up on your fans newsfeed and when they comment or like something you post it shows up on all their friends newsfeed which if they have a frind who is looking to buy or sell and they see this then they too may become a fan of your page and you can continue building your relationship with them. Hope that helps.
BTW, did you know that a lot of large corporations are doing away with their websites and just using www.FB.com/Chevrolet because of this? (i don't know about Chevrolet but a lot of others are)

@TBPL It seems like all real estate agent's FB pages are like that. Just made and liked by friends and family and then left to sit and grow dust.

The Corcoran Group however IS a good example. I frequent it. They have many likes and are very interactive with their audience.

completely agree that a GREAT example of how to manage your FB page is the Corcoran Group's page..

Isn't the Broker from Corcoran Group featured on one of the morning news shows from time to time? 33k in the followers department is huge. I just don't want to get caught up in thinking it is the page (although it is done very nicely) that generated the following 100%.
