    Hi Sarah,

I think you have completely missed my point. Maybe I did not phrase it correct. If you were to do a mouse over "Singapore property", you are basically using a redirect to refer to my site. I doubt Google understands that and therefore would not count it as a backlink to me for "Singapore property".

I hope you understand that I am not trying to penalise anyone here. I just wanting to clarify some stuff because I treasure you as a link partner. . I still prefer an actual link "http://www.dreamshelter.com.sg" for Dreamshelter Singapore property" nothing else.

and that is what you have got. View the source that I have pasted in this thread, or from my site. There is a pure html link to your site and one via the redirect - so that may be counted as 2 separate pages...

Anyway the link the human can't see is the link the engine likes and it links straight to your site, no tricks, no ploys, no cheating.

Thanks. But I was just wondering why you were so sure that Google can decipher the link? Is there something I missed out ?

I can't see how Google will struggle with this link on my pages
    Code:
    <a href='http://www.dreamshelter.com.sg/' target='_blank' title="Singapore property"><img src='/wsnlinks/investment.gif' border='0' alt="Singapore property"></a>
    http://www.pcpropertymanager.com/wsn39_1display.html

View the source, it's all there.

Hmm, I'm interested in reading about your results, too. I've never found any impact to linking to authority or other high PR sites in real estate or other industries I've tried SEO for.

    I find it rather strange.
I do have more relevant backlinks with the keyphrase "singxxx property" pointing to my site than Sarah's site. And her site seems to have a higher ranking than I do on Google for that keyphrase.. So I guess something is not correct. And my guess is that Google is not interpreting her links properly.

    Man...I am confused .

    Hi Roger

My index page has PR5, yours has PR3, my page is unranked (new)
Your site has 168 pages, mine has 563

Oh. so Google doesn't based the ranking solely on the backlinks.

Is that the point? Anyway Sarah, thanks for highlighting. I guess you are becoming a good SEO..

Well, my site has jut ran for about 7 months

    Hi Roger

Your hard work is paying off. You're placed higher for me for singapore property!

but what's with the forum spam? http://www.munich-service.de/forum/messages/263.html - it ranks higher for singapore properties than you do too!
