    Default Confirming recips

I just finished the process for a couple and wanted to remind everyone that if you're not, maybe you should. The good news was that realestatewebmasters were among the most faithful, the bad news was that I found a bunch of 301's and 404's. That would seem to indicate that it was more intentional and would be affecting all the sites listed there.

The most common thing I find when checking is that the site just no longer exists. The website is completely gone and there is nothing there. I assume this is because the realtor went out of business or in some cases, didn't keep paying the bills for the internet site. I don't know.

And thanks for the props, VRI. You should PM one of us to setup a link exchange with your site and our new clients.

The thing that disturbed me was the number of sites that have 301'd their old link link pages to home (seems downright decieptful) and link pages just gone and we had recieved no communication. Because links get confirmed monthly via a spider it was apparant that the number unfound was up so we did a visual check.

We also did a visual confirm of all links that had been confirmed by a spider earlier and were suprised at the number of what seemed to be healthy sites a year ago have fallen into disfavor as of late.

Thanks Jason about the links! I've been keeping in touch with Nick. About the props, it was just a fact as much as the others playing games. I think I pm'd three rewebmasters of the hundred or so contacts I made and they were either long gone or replied immediately. It's a good group that you guys have put together. Thanks!
