    Thumbs down The sandbox effect

The sandbox effect basically wants to test out your links so that their here to stay from what I can tell so far.

Here are a few threads, I know it sucks but it looks like a reality

So are you leaning toward thinking this is actually in play right now? If so, Have you personally seen anything that leads you to that conclusion?

From watching both of my sites (one new & one over 2 years old) it appears that the sand box filter is on new links and not new domains.

Both sites had a large increase in link popularity and PR approx. 3 months ago and we have just now started to move up in the search rankings.

Here is brief rundown of what I have seen.

    First month--no changes
Second month--rankings for very competitive keywords were anywhere from 150-400

Third month-- rankings for very competitive keywords were anywhere from 15-80 with top 10 results on less competitive phrases.

My theory is the filter "releases" incrementally. If this is true, I should continue to see upward movement without any further changes.

    We shall see...

    Jim,
I think your right about it releasing incrementally. Did you try that search that seo-guy posted which woul let you see the unfiltered results? If so I bet you liked what you saw
