I've heard good things about telemarketing too but haven't had the patience to stick with it yet.
Is anyone willing to share a telemarketing script that works well for them?
If I could figure out a consistent system I could pay someone else to make the calls.

It's hard enough to get people to respond to your calls even after they sign up on your website. How do you most of you get the contact phone numbers, yellow pages, title company?

Definitely telemarketing is not dead. Not anytime soon or maybe never it will be dead. Just like ERP Software Leads.

Telemarketing is far from dead, its part of the routine of doing business and if its done regularly it has its rewards. We arrange a day around this activity alone.

I know that with folks leaving their homes behind (numbers being disconnected) and the do not call list, it's a hard propsition. I build my biz around the "sweathogs" way by calling expireds and FSBO when I started and ended up with 30 listings in three months. I think it's just an up hill battle compared to then but of course, it could be the market I am in.

John, with little doubt about it, there is a difference in how real estate moved when sweathogs program came out. Sellers are becoming more educated about whats right for them, and more and more, there exploring their options when it comes to selling. But there is a segment of the population that still responds to this marketing. It shouldn't be the mainstay of the business, it should be part of the marketing mix.

I agree. Just like email marketing isn't dead. The fact that everyone spams people, over email, doesn't make the medium, of email worse. That wouldn't make any sense. In face, I would say it makes it BETTER for those people out to use it in the right, non-manipulative, way..!

With tele-marketing, though.. you HAVE TO be an honest person, there to give some tips, or you're dead marketing wise.
