    Default Getting Started with PPC

    Hey all,

Was wondering if any of you had any good references about getting started pay per click. Have done some research and searching online but most of what I can find seems pretty hit or miss....was wondering if anyone has come across any good references regarding the topic and if so if they would be willing to share.

    Thanks!

I'll offer this advice, negative keywords are your friend. So many people set-up there campaigns without ever thinking about the keywords they don't want to show up for. Take a look at the link below for some common negative keywords.

I would create multiple campaigns at the beginning, you can see which ones are working the best and tweak them before you go all in. I also agree with ryne. I wasted allot of clicks and money because Google sent me a bunch of rental leads.

Also do a search for free PPC money. Both Facebook and Google have offered free "money" to sign up. Every little bit helps.

I have a ton to say about this, but short on time so just let me make one tiny comment and I will come back later and fill your ear, as PPC is my favorite subject.

Just for starters, go in and look at all the keywords that you are getting clicks for. And the ones you don't want make them negative.. you can see every single keyword that you had to pay for right in front of you.

So for example ygu got 20 hits for Newport News, RI (Rhode Island) when in fact you are in Hampton roads with the city of Newport News VA (Virginia). So all those clicks are wasted money... Make RI and a negative keyword.. Matter of fact make every state in the Union a negative... Alabama, Georgia, Calfornia... and 52 later..

So you say hey I want those guys.. for referral purposes... ok sucker as we know its very little chance that some one typeing in "townhouse in San Diego Ca" is going to buy a house in VA.. so block them... WTF wants to pay 2 bucks every time some one searches for that.. But keep in mind they may still find you in organic.. and that is fine. but i aint going to pay for that sucker with adwords..

    Get my drift..
