Default Hello from an RE Virtual Assistant!

    Hi Everyone,

I "met" a Rep today who referred me to your forum. I am so excited to begin reading through all your information!

I am a Virtual Assistant. I have been working solely with Reps for the last two years. I have about 10 clients and do most of the maintenance/updates on their websites as well as a HOST of other things for each client.

It is going to be wonderful to have a resource that is solely dedicated to RE websites!

I am sure you will hear from me from time to time. HTML is not my forte' as such. I know enough to make me dangerous!

I look forward to meeting with you all and learning so much.

    Eager to learn,
    Kathy

Welcome to the forum, kathy, look around, ask questions and just try and join in the conversation. Believe it or not, some of the conversations around here are serious.

Hey how do you get a job as a "virtual assistant"? Are you a 1099 sub or do you actually work for a firm that markets your services? Sorry to be so nosy but this is another of those jobs that makes sense but that I had never heard of.

    Hi Kathy,

    Welcome to the forums!

I see you finally figured out the registration. BTY, your post said one of the REPs, I am not a REP. Surely you meant "Matt Pellerin told me about this forum!"

    Glad to see you here!

I look forward to your participation.

    Have a great weekend.

Perhaps it means virtually an assistant, or nearly an assistant.

If RE is religious education, then maybe the job is nearly an assistant to a religious education something

    Hi Kathy,

First of all, welcome to this lovely forum. This is the first forum and the only forum that has convinced me to stay here for so long .
And I hope you will also enjoy our dicussions here.

HTML is not my forte' as such. I know enough to make me dangerous!
By the way, you were saying that you know enough to make you dangerous? Are you a hacker or SEO? What's with this virtual assistant thingy?

Well guys, since I invited her here and she has not been back to answer questions yet... I'll take a stab at answering one of them.

She is, as she said, a virtual assistant. She is currently working for seven (that I know of) real estate agents. Handling everything from link popularity to clerical duties. Thus freeing up the agents' time to be more productive in other activities.

I have no idea what you are talking about...

It was like that when I got here...

    I didn't do it...

    She started it...

    Need more cop outs?

I am waiting for Kathy to come back and respond to her hello thread.

May I have my lawyers present?

LMAO, keep it up Matt! You keep referring people and I may be forced to give you some free SEO hours

Kathy welcome to the forum, its nice to have you. In a way you and SEO Jason share very similar positions, he is on my staff working almost solely on online real estate website promotion projects, updating pages, building links + rapore with other webmasters etc and I hope he can help you out with your clients as well (And vice versa of course)

Couple places to stop by right away are www.realestatewebmasters.com/linking.php the link exchange forum and the relevant link exchange forum over at SEO Guy as well.

We are all here to help each other, not one of us has more knowlege, each one of us has different knowlege and I'm sure you will teach us as much as we help you learn
    Cheers!
Starting LEC 7 soon but it won't be called LEC 7 - LEC 2012 coming soon!
