I've made quite a few changes since my first post so the site is a big improvement over where it was a few weeks ago. I removed a large portion of the text, added some custom graphics and did bullet points of my services so it is more clear what I do. Overall it's much more user friendly and should hopefully lead to a better conversion ratio.
I actually do have a blog installed which I update fairly regularly. However, the only way you see it is if you click the blog link in the footer of the page. The reason its way down there is because the blog was primarily used for my monthly e-newsletter blast which drove traffic to the blog posts and ultimately to my website. Perhaps I should reconsider this and at the very least have a link to the blog in my main navigation menu.
Yes, you are also right about the community pages - I need to add more content here. I've also done these community pages as part of my monthly newsletter but I should probably spend some time developing these pages more fully. These pages are actually already existing with some basic content for the search engines and because of the relatively low competitive keywords these pages rank near the top of all the search engines.
