Yeah maybe run google adwords for real estate forums. Also maybe posting this site on a number of real estate directories. Another good way maybe to offer some type of award that the forum site gives out and have people post it on their websites.

Is there a page that goes into what this directory will include? I would like to learn more about it. Our agents might be interested.

Well its a forum not a directory :-) But sinse you asked I am building you a directory for you right now. When it is complete it will be posts at www.realestatewebmasters.com/agents/ And I promise you within 3 months it will be the highest PR directory on the internet

So anyone who registers with this forum will be automatically included in the 'directory'? I think the word directory was mentioned in another thread that Wayne was posting in.

Yes I believe they would be included but I can not answer for seo-guy. We want this to be a community of web savvy agents and webmasters that want to come to the site and contribute to our community.

I know that most agents from advanced access websites are interested in growing their web business and I feel that if you can help bring agents to this forum that would be much appreciated and we would all benefit from the knowledge we have to give and the knowledge we all could recieve.

Thanks! I guess I will have to wait until it becomes published and see what it's all about.

    Thumbs down Down with Frames

Kristina, I get alot of requests for reciprocal links from Advance Access users, I was hoping you might do something about those darn frames! A lot of the agents don't get it when I tell them that a link on their framed page does me no good.

Hi Jim! It actually does do you good. AA has gone through quite a bit of changes through the years. Our newest change (the Classic 3.0) came out in November... in which we wrestled with getting the interior pages indexed. The sites are now built in asp.net and have an iFrame.

We did a complete rewrite of the pages to map them out without the ? mark in the URL which Goolge was having a problem with. We were working with two industry experts to get it solved and we finally did back in February. Once the rewrite was in place we did a rewrite of everyone's URLs although some of them didn't make it through. Feel free to bring up any URLs that have the problems.

On most of the pages, if you take out the ? mark and look up the cache in Google they will be cached, indexed, and now most have PR.

    Example:
    http://www.wendyshomes.com/PageManager/Default.aspx/PageID=171197&NF=1

    Cached in Google:
    http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&i...=Google+Search

    Site Index:
    http://www.google.com/search?q=site%...UTF-8&oe=UTF-8

So the solution works but it was simply fixed about four months ago and if the client still has the Classic 2.0 and has not upgraded yet (it's a free upgrade) they make not be indexed and cached.

Kristina I believe Jim is speaking of "links" pages where the realtor is offering to place Jim on a non spiderable page within a frameset. The example page you give is not such a page.

Being in a frameset and having long non alphanumeric query strings in your URL's is not the same thing. http://www.phxrealestate.com/Nav.asp...ageID%3d215566 is an example of such a page. Would you care to demonstrate a page such as thing counting as a backlink to another website?

    Thanks
