I believe that the "Google Dance" is a relatively specific term that refers to the different datacenters holding different PR ratings or BL numbers for the same site. When you use a tool that allows you to check the different datacenters you will see the discrepency and then know a change is in the works. My impression has been that this will only give you a warning of a day or two tops because G isn't going to allow their different datacenters to hold different data (else their users will have a different experience depending on what datacenter they happen to hit).

So in short, I don't think the info you have presented suggests that we are entering a new dance.

Also, while lots of bot activity on your site is always exciting and important it doesn't mean that you have an update in store. G is just checking you out and updating it's cached view of your pages. That's all you can bet on.

Considering how overdue we are for a PR update I'm personally starting to wonder if they are in the works of changing the rules for how they handle PR...but that's just a hunch that I haven't run past anyone else yet.

All in all...you won't know that an update is in the works until you see the result. Unless you sit around watching the datacenters all day. But even if you do that, you'll only know a day or two in advance tops anyway.

I get a little a head of myself sometimes. So, no one else thinks we are about to see an update? Not even PR or BL's? It sure has been long enough. You could be right about PR though, especially with their IPO, they may want to shake things up a bit.

Am keeping a close eye on my PR (4/10) and my G BL's (69).

Will post if there are changes.

Same thing as before. Didn't twitch. Seems like it trades off on my pages every update. Can't complain though, the leads are still coming in.
