    Smile Image Editor

Can anyone suggest a good image and photo editor. I need one that I can do some creative stuff with without altering the quality of the picture.

I use Fireworks for web graphics and have been very happy with it.

We use Adobe Photoshop CS which works fantastically and will let you modify images anyway you want without losing quality.

Lightroom is the best for that sort of thing. Photoshop's learning curve is too steep for someone who just wants to edit photographs.

Photoshop is great. However, like stated above, has a learning curve.
Gimp is similar to Photoshop, except it's free.
There is also Sumo Paint. They have an app online similar to Gimp and Photoshop.

I use Photoscape, which is free and although basic it does what I need. I have tried Photoshop but for me it was too complicated.
