    Default What's Holding Me Back?

Not more than a month or two ago, I was sitting at number 2, and on some days, number 1 on MSN for keywords: Boulder Colorado Real Estate

I somewhat stalled on my link program and new content in the December timeframe, but have been trying to hit it hard over the past 2-3 weeks. I noticed that MSN just cached my site today, and I'm still sitting at number 5, behind sites that I'm uncertain as to how they got there (this is after a move up from 8 or 9 over the past couple weeks).

Due to the fact that I am not yet in G or Yahoo, I'm scrapping for MSN ranking (something at least), and would appreciate any tips and tricks as to what is going on, what I'm doing wrong, or some end all be all fix.

    Thanks everyone!

I quickly tried seeing if there might be an easy to see problem as I've been able to quickly grab #1 spots in MSN for all of my sites for my main kw's & many I haven't even optimized for. And it's not that MSN shows your search terms to be more popular than mine (for Cook County kw's).

In fact, with MSN I have #1 spots that I'm fighting over with the sites below me in Yahoo. Only one of my sites has any position in Google yet & it's a couple years old.

The only thing I know I'm doing different is using less meta keywords. However, the site in the top spot for your kw's is using similar kw's as you are. In fact, it looks like the url MSN uses isn't even the home page for that site.

Maybe someone else can give you some concrete information.
Money Magazine says that Orland Park real estate is one of the best places to live in the U.S. Check out Homer Glen homes if you're interested in living in the newest Chicago suburb. Next door, Lemont homes are the priciest in the southwest suburbs and have held their value, even appreciating while prices in other areas have gone down.

Hello all, here is good site to check your ranking on different search engins http://www.prsearch.net

one other thing I would do is to do a link exchang with high ranking sites, from what my experiences were, there is not sure way you going to reach the number 1 in msn, however it help, you if you are link to pages with higher PRs. SE don't really go for met taqs anymore, like judyo said. so i would just keep adding links

I did some quick analysis of the breakdown of inbound links for the top sites for Boulder Colorado Real Estate , and it's quite interesting:

    MSN Ranking/Inbound Links
    1/ 8,987
    2/ 3,794
    3/ 871
    4/ 68
    5/ 1,747
    6/ 2,879
    7/ 4

I'm currently ranked number 6. Now you could have a point about the PR level of those inbound links, I don't know of a way to measure how much PR your inbound links are worth, save looking up each one. This just seems odd to me...

I noticed MSN likes lots on links and A Short Title Tag. When I plan with My title tag, I notice I go down in MSN. Only about 6 words tops.

Mine is 4 (perhaps too short), but I'm being out-ranked by sites with longer titles, in some cases, much longer titles (with phone numbers in them).
