Finally, I do not know which office would be better to choose, for starting out, or in the future. There were two offices I was looking at. One is a small office, and on their website they list 23 agents working for them, it is an intacoastal realty office and they have 200-300 homes listed. And on the other hand, there is a coldwell banker, seacoast realty office that has a little over 1000 homes listed, but they have around 160 agents, which put me off a little. Which one would be better in your opinion, especially as a starting agent. I just do not feel that great knowing that there would be such a massive amount of people in the same office, and I feel like I would only sell one to two homes a year. Is it good to stick to a smaller office?

In your position, I'd choose whichever one provides the most consistent and new-agent-friendly training schedule. Getting to know the business - learning to lead generate, manage your database, negotiate a sale, deal with fires - is the most important part of your first year. If they have an accountability program in place for their agents, then I'd definitely consider them a stronger prospect to hang your license.

I'm a Realtor in Houston, Texas and in my spare time, I write at this blog dedicated to real estate technology for agents. I originally created this Houston Real Estate site and switched to REW - awesome decision.
