Google Update April 25th

I didn't even know something like this was going on nor do I know what Panda, Penguin mean in relation to the web. I have not checked my serps in ages but I checked now and they seem to be the same or a little better than in the past. Are the ones who get hit the most linking like hell to the main page and not enough to interior pages, long tail keywords etc? Seems like that may be the case. Does this have anything to do with duplicate content?

can you tell me where to look so i can see what you are talking about? Which site of mine did you look at?

That's a clear sign of gaming for those keywords and thus what seems to be causing people issues.

That site wasnt hit at all. In fact i havent sent a link to this site in years.

the REW blogs have been no follow for a long time. You have to put your links into the related links for them to count

Well I didn't check the others but that's just to give you an idea of how obviously unnatural the link profile is. I say that in the nicest way possible..so not being condescending

Hey guys, so that we don't get things confused (Panda / Penguin / General issues) I started a thread "specifically" for the over optimization / penguin update from April 24th - You can follow that here: http://www.realestatewebmasters.com/...or-real-estate - please use that thread for Link / Over optimization discussion and penalties (drops) after April 24th (almost right on the day for most people) if you got hit before (started a slow decline) it was likely panda adjustments - and if you're REALLY unlucky you got hit by both.

The April penalty (from what I can tell so far) has very little to do with onpage (I don't think "most" of you keyword stuffing / overly optimizing in a negative way) - it is all about links. (how they look / and where they come from)
