What do you guys think of Zillow??? They just opened the doors today... I can see this site being huge.

Yeah, read that on Inman news, have played around with two properties, one it seems that it got right, the other seems to be about 50% under true market value, making me think that it's missing several years of the most recent comps. I don't see it being that huge, there's already HomeGain and DataQuick, etc.

Zillow seems a bit different to me. The information is easy to get... no forms to complete to get the data... it cuts out the hassle and seems to have more info about the homes and area.
Featured on CNN TV today. Looks like they're paying the price. I would have paused/waited on the Flash banner ads.
"Site seems slow? Close your eyes and envision your perfect home
By then maybe the server can handle our zillions of visitors."
Zillow = Zilcho for me, no matter how long I close my eyes:
"We're sorry. We encountered a problem performing this search. Please wait a few seconds, then refresh the page or search again."
Yes... well I would have thought with the leadership that is in place they would have predicted this kind of traffic. If there is one problem to have that is a nice one.Originally Posted by skipfactor
I read b/t midnight and 7:00 AM on the launch date they had 300,000 hits.
Anyway, they will be a player decent product and a shit load of capital $$$$.
There mapping feature and the site are pretty nice, wonder if they are using their own satellites or googles. Regardless, these and google maps are out of date, just shows my street with no houses and as our house prices in the 400 range when its in the 7's. The incorrectness of this data alone would make me turn elsewhere.
