    Default Perpetual linking?

I have been working on my backlinks on a fairly regular basis and have seen a continuous increase in my google rankings.

My questions is, am I going to have to keep this up forever? Or once I am coming up to the top for all of my keywords, can I expect to stay there?

From my experience you will stay there - however i usually like to have double the backlinks of my main competitor - that way you will have a solid #1 position that will last.

Yup, it's perpetual. But you can reduce the time you spend on it. Sort of like maintenance mode.
