    Default Directory Submission Help

Can anyone suggest a Great Website directory submission tool or online service. I'm not looking so much for the search engine submission, but for directories.

    Thanks - Jeff

IMO using auto submission tools/software won't do good for your site.
Here is a good list of free, paid and niche directories info.vilesilencer.com

You can IBP tools it has auto submission feature.

auto submissions can be a bad thing- you have to make sure you varry the text of your submissions- SEs are wise to auto submits and dampen results they think are auto submitted. I use a $46 service - 200 directory submits. This ocmpany does it manually and slowly over time to the links grow naturally and you give them a number of varied texts thay alternate submissions with:

I agree that it's best not to use automated submissions but feel it's more that the directories will take issue with the submissions not the search engines. I've tried a couple of services for directory submissions and have found you pretty much get what you pay for.... so I'm back to doing most myself.
OVERSITE.US For Agents & Brokers | Great references for great sites.
Real Estate Directory | The best in regional real estate websites.
Tampa Bay Fishing | Seeks references from the area resource pages of quality local sites.

I with you guys (and gals - ReBlogGirl ), you should avoid automated submission tools to the directories. I've found Roboform to be adequate, but more of a pain frankly, but also Firefox has a form filling feature that is actually quite nice to save a little extra typing. (you'll need to download a plug-in, but its good).

i try to look at it this way...If the submission is automated--then everyone does it (including non-relevant folks)--then the SE's NOTICE that EVERYONE does it--Then they devalue those links to keep their results relevant--Thus automated efforts typically end up being worth less until they are worthless..

    Hi Jeff.

It's usually a good idea to mix up your link text when submitting to directories (or any other link-building strategy for that matter). You'll cover more of your key phrases that way, and your link profile will look more natural. This is another reason to do manual submissions.

For instance, if you submitted manually to many directories and alternated your link text, you could cover variations of your top phrases as such:

company name - anytown real estate

    anytown real estate agent

company name - real estate in anytown

You get the picture. Also, if you haven't done it already, it will save you a lot of time to create a text file with all the info directories ask for. That way you can just copy and paste when submitting. Include such things as URL, website titles (a handful of variations), website descriptions, email address, etc.

    Good luck.

I for a long time searched for the similar software,
used roboform, formfiller, many automatic software.

Roboform, Formfiller - Small speed, no reports,no functions with databases.
    Automatic softwares - bad submission

now i use allsubmitter - it is IE based browser.

    There are three operating modes.
    1. Automatic submission
time: ~1000 directories - Some minutes.
    Quality: ? - I do not use

    2. Semi-automatic submission
    (3 clicks)
    a) Next URL, (filled automatically)
    b) Visual check and Submit Button
    c) Select Status Submit (Ok,bad, latter, delete directory)
    e) Next URL

    time: ~1000 directories - <8 Hours.
Quality: 100% - full control as hands

    3. Smart Semi-automatic submission.
    First Time: (3 clicks)

    Second Time:
    (1 clicks)
The program checks changes on the forms,
    If it is necessary stops.

    time: >1000 directories - <4-5 Hours.
Quality:100% - full control as hands

    Opportunity:
creation and Check own databases (PageRank, links Google,MSN,Yahoo ...), reports,
direct mail, and many other Opportunities.

hire a middle school kid and pay him/her 6 bucks an hour. Have them document everything in a spreasheet template you built. An 1 hour they should be able to do 20 submissions. So after a 5 hour shift you have 100 submissions and it cost you 30 bucks

It's the only thing kids are good for...muuhhahaha
