    Thumbs down Need Your Help!

    Hello All,

It appears as though a website called siezedproperty(dot)com has been hijacking our content and using it as doorway pages in order to get higher search engine results. I was messing around with Netscape the other day and typed in "Cindy Jasper" just to see where she could be found. As I clicked through the results and to my great surprise I found several listing desciptions that contained her name. When you click on those SERPs it simpy redirects you to the seizedproperty home page. What can I do?

    Here is an example: http://search.netscape.com/ns/search...next&ampTest=1

IMO these guys are making us look bad. Does anyone agree?

Your copy is your intellectual property (Assuming it is unique) and thus protected by copyright law. If you can show (Or find examples of) the website publishing your content without your expressed written conscent I would start by writing a nasty email citing the legal ramifications to content theft and usage and threaten immediate legal action if it is not removed from their website within 48 hours.

If they do not, you may choose to persue legal action.
Man content thieves really piss me off!

    Thanks Webmaster,

We have spent countless hours writing this stuff and it does suck to have to used without permission. Do these fake doorway pages count since the text is not actually on their site?

    Grant,

If you've never had experience with web thieves before, these resources might help. Here's a sample of a cease and desist e-mail you could send.

And, here's some great info from Copyscape about responding to plagiarism.

I don't understand enough about what they're doing with the doorway pages to help on that issue, but if they're stealing your content, I wouldn't let these guys get away with it. Go get 'em!
