    Default MSN Rank

I'm now number two for my main keyword in MSN.. The problem is that I still can't find my site in google or yahoo for my main keyword.. Any suggestions? It's an older site, but I had to change my domain, and I have added much more content. I'm wondering if I changed my domain incorrectly..

I put my old domain in the .htaccess. This was recommended by my host and done so I could keep that email address and not be penalized for duplicate content on two domain names.

    Is this okay?

I might be wrong, but I think if you change your domain name, it's like starting over.

Yes changing your domain name does make you start over - the right thing to do is 301 redirect the old domain name, but this does not mean that you will automatically get your old rankings back. You need to build new links and deal with the sandbox all over again.

My best guess as of today for a new domain
    MSN 1-3 months
    Yahoo 6-9 months
    Google 9-12 months

(For first page rankings if you do a good job with your SEO and have the resources to build decent links)

So sad, i had to to that with my Denver Buyer Broker Clients. Has a .com/him/ and wanted just him.com.
Did the 301, have many links from here. Webmaster, do you suggest hitting up for link trade with new site here as I have many through members of this forum for the old site?

I did bring over the links from the old site, nobody get hot I am thinking it will actually benefit the older partners for a while. Is this true in any way or may I just be up way too late?
