RE InfoLink IDX No Solution

I am working with a realtor who wants a customized website that isn't tied to his current hosted mls listing feed provider propertyminder. propertyminder only offers their templates and is frames based (which from a usability standpoint isn't smart). I contacted RE InfoLink directly and was told they do not allow direct access to their MLS Listings unless you want to pay thousands of dollars. Has anyone ever dealt with RE Infolink and found a way around both the scenarios I provide above? I want to use Open-Realty as its a fantastic, open source solution. They offer an IDX solution but only if they have access to the mls listing feeds.
I'm thinking IDX Broker (http://www.idxbroker.com/) is an option but not sure yet. Any experience with idxbroker?

Anyone with insight is appreciated. (please no technical skills solicitations. I'm looking for fellow techies who've dealt with this similar situation before that could provide insight)

meegan, what area are you in, and what MLS board does your client (You perhaps) use for data access?

Custom IDX solutions only cost thousands of dollars for the data if you are attempting to create a commercial solution and resell to many agents. If you are just doing one site, the fee is usually very little or non existant. For instance in southern california (SocalMLS) charges $5000 per month for IDX data download for commercial verdors, however they charge (At least charged me) nothing to access the data because I do it on a site by site basis which involves an application process.

RE Infolink is the provider for santa clara count california and they charge the same amount you describe. They only offer frames based access. They don't allow direct access. I'm looking for someone or company that has bridged that gap and provides the data feed (such as a broker). I have only found IDX Broker.
