Well, speaking as a techie that has provided data to and worked with most of the major "national" websites including the RELO site, it is definitely one of the better implementations.

Not to stir up the emotions that were contained in this thread.... But there has got to be a better solution than the current Realtor MLS. Personally I find it too strict and generally a pain. I come from a different perspective though, I am not the agent nor broker, I am merely the developer for them. While I can and have implemented many IDX/Vow solutions, the whole process always leads me dumbfounded in the sense that there are better ways to do it then what Realtor MLS has selected.
My question is why, seriously, can we not come up with a better solution? Do not use the whole intertia excuse, everything started from scratch -- there is still room for improvements and growth. Google is a perfect example, when they came along there were already 12 wildly successful search engines, but Sergey and Brin had a better way. Against all odds, and in spite of some close friends and collegues telling them it was pointless and unprofitable, they succeeded. Not only did they succeed but they redefined the defination of search engine.
Seriously, why do people always feel the need to settle and become content with broken applications? I do not have that answer, I am just hoping that the community here and at large has the answer.
Maybe I am wrong, Maybe everyone is just absolutely tickled to death with their MLS integration and I am heading towards a fruitless endeavor. But what if I am not wrong? What if there is a better way? ...
Anyhow, I am just searching. I am more than willing to either help develop that "better" way or at least start to utilize it if someone else already built it.
