    Default Creating a pre-constuction module

We are going to be releasing a module for our clients to plug into the REW CMS so that they can quickly and easily create listings for pre-construction. Much like our CMS module for featured homes does now
    Example: http://www.northcountyluxuryhomes.co...xury-homes.php

With our listings database the fields are like bedrooms, bathrooms, price, date listed, acres, city, state, property type etc.

My question is, for preconstruction, what generic fields need to be available for the listing of pre-construction:

    Some initial thoughts

    Units Available
    Price Range
    Expected Completion

Umm I dunno, what do you guys think? (Lots of you are already on the CMS and deal with preconstruction)

So what fields would you want to have a quick and easy plugin for pre-construction like you do for listings?

Here is an example of a simplified version of what I am talking about http://www.johnsabia.com/New-Construction-Homes.php for reference. The client would have had to code this manually (Good Job John) so what would you want for fields if you were to do it dynamically? Of course there would be photo gallery, description fields etc as standards.

    Hi Morgan:
I would love to talk to you more about this because this was a major chore to do. I am still not finished, but if you will have a cms for it - I am all for it and will change over. Can it be the same as what I have, basically a listing of all the properties broken down in categories and than a separate page for more details?

on a seperate topic, did you receive my email last week?

Last week I was in New York and dont remember getting a mail from you, can you resend?

As far as will it work like the listings do now - absolutely! That is why im building it for you, all I need to know is what fields you guys and gals need in terms of specifics for the CMS plugin and I will create them. Once I have enough feedback, take me about a week to get the coding and testing done.

This is not the answer to the question you asked but I will answer that next...

I personally think it would be nice to have the ability to dedicate a main navigation page to one builder or many builders in a certain area and then have sub navigation pages either for different models or the different buliders in that area.

    This would look like this:

main nav window called Carlsbad New construction
sub pages x builder, y builder, z builder
with the ability to add the detailed listings pages to any or all of those pages

ie on the X builder page I would put detailed listings associated with just that builder.

So it would be nice to have the option to add the detailed listings to individual pages in the cms. Sort of like we can now choose which pages can be a sub-page of a main page.
If you are looking for San Diego Real Estate or you want to view San Diego MLS listings (or at least that portion of the data feed that SANDICOR allows us to display on our websites) go to a local San Diego County real estate Agent's Site.

I think what we could do bob is create categories for the listings ie each builder you add in the listings database could be separated out via a link, so it just shows that builders projects, and then a master list that shows all products, then you could use the "add external sub link" button to any city or category page, then when you click on that, you get all listings from that builder, and on each listing you could click on a details page. Something like that, just brainstorming right now, but its great feedback - keep it coming!

One feature I would like to see on all the detailed listings pages is the ability to enlarge the pictures.

As far as the detailed listings pages for builders...
    Standard options discription area
A discription with Headings and Bullits instead of just a paragraph.

The ability to put a brief discription below a Picture
    Plan 1 , plan 2, optional 5th bedroom

Also the ability for a consumer to pull up a menu of available options and then inquire about what those additional options might cost them would generate a lot of leads. For example a menu of the options and boxes to check sort of like when you visit Kelley Bluebook and want to price out a car...

I don't think buyers in my area search for a specific builder rather by location and price. For me, I would want it similar to what I have now - just jazzed up a bit more. I agree with larger photos, pages opening with floor plans that are legible, maybe in a pdf file, site plans, etc.
