How's the pre-construction module coming along? Just so I can chime in - I think it would be great to have a module for new construction communities, similar to the builder sites themselves, complete with floor plans and all. If this could be implemented in the current pre-construction module, then sweet!

I would think it's a matter of uploading images, but maybe assign images into categories, and allow a certain category to be displayed on the builder subdivision front page as "floorplans". Just thinking out loud.

At the time, we only had a couple of people interested in the module, and that interest died (Or seemed to) so it never go implemented - I never got enough feedback to create anything more useful than the listings manager - certainly willing to revisit the concept but it has to make sense on a large scale for me to invest the time to code a module, otherwise it is basically a custom app for one or 2 people, certainly still willing to do it, but if there was no major interest, It would be a billable thing as opposed to an REW CMS plugin.

So if you guys can come up with a set of features that will work for everyone then I will happily code it.

The main reason I brought this up, is because I get a good amount of hits to my site for buyers looking for builder information. I'm sure we could always just put up a link to the builder page, but then I lose the lead.

I'm going to put some thought into this soon. It's not something I'll want right away, but surely something I'll ask for eventually.

In regards to listing pre-con by builder:

When we sell preconstruction investments, when a buyer talks to us, or to the developer, and they sign, they tend to trust us and the developer. Of course they will come back to us, and recommend us. Sometimes too, at least in investments, people will try to stick with the builder if the builder was good

One example is a developer we work with makes these gorgeous homes, with not so pretty prices (it's in Celebration, Disney's personal city). They made similar condos elsewhere for a better price, and contacted us. So a lot of the people that actually went to the see the expensive place, trust us since it's the same builder.
If you're not remembered, you never existed.
