    Default warning about microsoft word

if you guys are writing your pages in microsoft word, do not copy the text directly into the CMS. The reason why is, word uses its own special markup that browsers do not render properly.

If you do want to use word to write your content, there is a quick and easy step to add to remove this formatting. Have notepad open and then copy paste the word text into notepad first (this will remove the markup) then copy paste the notepad text into the CMS.

Want to avoid the extra step, write your articles directly in notepad, or better yet, right in the CMS

Here's another tip. As I've been adding content to my new REW Oak Lawn site I have been timed out and lost everything by typing directly into the CMS (if it's a computer setting let me know what to do). Very frustrating but I always prefer using the CMS. So I just keep reminding myself to save the page after a few paragraphs & then continue editing. If the phone rings or I get stuck doing something else I "add the page" & can then go back.

I have learned to use Notepad when copying and pasting anything such as reciprocal link information, for example. So if you don't type directly into the CMS I think Notepad is the way to go. You can format titles and fonts once you get to the CMS.
Money Magazine says that Orland Park real estate is one of the best places to live in the U.S. Check out Homer Glen homes if you're interested in living in the newest Chicago suburb. Next door, Lemont homes are the priciest in the southwest suburbs and have held their value, even appreciating while prices in other areas have gone down.

Hmmm timing out - let me check on that with Aaron, I am not personally aware of a session that has been created, but will look into it.

Hi, Yes as it is set up now when you "log in" to the CMS a session is created. If there is no activity for 30 minutes, the session will expire forcing you to "log in" again.
I have considered a cookie based login to avoid this problem, however there are some security risks with this method ( shared compters and such ). I will set this up as an option if need be.

A while back I got CoffeeCup HTML editor. To my surprise I went to the web site and they updated my software for free. I am not sure if it worth it for you, but I write everything in there then save it. That way I have a HTML version of all my pages should I accidentally delte a page through CMS (like I did today). It is also easy as a click to add tags, etc. Something to think about.
