You don't want her to leave you Matt. I'd like to think that we are a community here, and can all work together to out rank all those people that don't use our forum. Sure a new guy can come on here and instantly get about 50 link exchanges. But they are the same 50 link exchanges that you already have, plus you gain another one that your competitors don't, right.

I agree there is room at the top. I was simply trying to voice some opinions that I have heard now and agian. I think what you guys are providing here is a seriously valuable resource...more than that really. I guess I would just like to see it be more, as I know it can. Wow, I sound so inspirational don't I?

Seeing how useless SeoChat has become with all of the "noise" makes me think even more that REW could be something really great. A crossover site if you will.

And for the record, I am here because I want to help others benefit as I have and continue to do. I guess I was just missing a little bit of the community feeling that was here a couple of months ago.

Can't we get some t-shirts or something?

Back to the "out-ranking" thing... This site and the SEO forum by Morgan do not touch my Phoenix Homes site. But, I noticed that with my new site for Paradise Valley, both REW and SEO-guy forums out rank it in the SERP's.

So, there is the proof that new sites will be outranked, but established sites will not. Kind of interesting.

Secrecy is a recipe for failure! No amount of explaining or justifying will change this.

Showing up on a forum, taking away everything you can to better your situation without giving something back in return is like showing up to potluck with only a fork.

    Jeff,

You quoted Morgan, but surely he is not who you are shaming.

I was quoting Morgan only to reference his point about secrecy.

I have edited the previous post so as not to cause confusion.

Yup and this is a good thing Matt, as I said you will eventually overtake both the SEO Guy forum and the REW forum and then you may have a spot in #1-3 and then #4 and #5 might be the 2 forums where you site is mentioned so you get extra coverage on the page. Doesnt seem all that bad

    Let's see getting it right.

Start with usable/accessible design architecture preferably css/xhtml
Add natural content including real estate info and local info
have a natural linking strategy including reciprocal, one-way and local links

I am sure I left some things out.
