Can anyone recommend some good e-mail campaign software?

We use icontact.com. You can automatically post your newsletter to a blog and they have an RSS feed option (no value for links but you never know who could come across it and read it on the open web), opt in, opt out, etc..

Most importantly, it's very easy to set up and manage leads, campaigns, create custom newsletters, HTML, etc..

Just remember, that as a licensed Realtor, your board will sell you a list of all realtor addresses. It's completely legal, and it's part of being one.

So expect realtor to realtor spam And you can do it too. Just make sure, like someone stated back in 06, to follow the rules. We recently sent an email out to around 15k people, but followed every rule. around 14.5k of the emails were read (500 or so bounced etc full email box etc), and only around 200 were marked as spam/opted out.

I use one for joomla cms called acajoom, it's got the template system, reporting functions and the opt in/out functions

Not all boards will sell you the emails. I am with RMLS out of Portland, OR and they will not sell you agent emails. When I was with GLVAR in Las Vegas they would not sell agent email addresses either.

The information is on your MLS though, so if you want to spend the time getting them, they are available to you.
