page titles are importent to a very mild degree for spiders.
Does our REW web sites have a default Page title when we make a page?
Is it the <h1>?
Or do we need to add it in the HTML side?

Page titles are VERY important, each page should have its own unique page title. There is a field in the CMS specifically for adding your page title. In fact you can't create a page without adding a page title, that is how important it is.
I think you might be getting confused with headings. H1 H2 etc are headings, they are good for organization of your content and it is speculated that they carry extra weight. What I do for each page is create a one line heading to start each page, such as "Real Estate Web Design" in the wysiwyg editor on the right is a dropdown. Highlight the text and choose heading 1. This will make the text an h1 tag. hit enter and then it will go back to paragraph so you can type your text under your heading.
Starting LEC 7 soon but it won't be called LEC 7 - LEC 2012 coming soon!
I just realized what an idiot I am. I got it !!
