Default RSS Feed in a Blog

Hello, I just got a Blogger accout and the main purpose of the blog is to use real estate news articles from feeds. However, I cannot for the life of me figure out how to add a feed coming from somewhere else into my blog. Anyone out there have this service or is there a better service out there? I've tried Wordpress and I couldn'tfigure it out there either. Thanks.

So the sole purpose of your blog is to just display feeds without any fresh, unique content? I don't know how a site like that can ever achieve any decent rankings so what would the purpose be? Just to use in off-line marketing?

I have yet to use rss feeds for any of my sites. I have 2 blogs that consist of unique content that I add when I have the chance.
Money Magazine says that Orland Park real estate is one of the best places to live in the U.S. Check out Homer Glen homes if you're interested in living in the newest Chicago suburb. Next door, Lemont homes are the priciest in the southwest suburbs and have held their value, even appreciating while prices in other areas have gone down.

I just took a look at your blog and it's very nice. Visually and intellectually.

Maybe I'm misguided. I've seen many blogs with news feeds and articles related to real estate in their area. I didn"t think that this was so unusual. Of course I do plan on having original fresh content, but I' like to have filler information as I know there won't be the time needed to maintain a full time blog.

I was just looking for ideas and information. I'll just keep looking around.

    Thanks

It can certainly be done & I think a small area on the blog (sidebar or above the footer) with an rss feed might be a great thing to keep updated content coming. I've studied adding rss and can't figure it out, it's too technical for me. There are some folks here who do use it. Pcdoc is one that comes to mind. If you don't get any other replies try sending Pcdoc a private message and maybe he can guide you to an easy to understand rss tutorial, although if anyone knows of such a tutorial I'd like the link, too!

    Judy, thanks for the plug.

Yes, I design RSS feeds, integrating the blog posts into the web site home page.

    My most recent is

    http://www.tampa-real-estate-blog.com/

    integrating into

    http://www.lipplyrealestate.com/

for which I also did a website make-over.

You'll notice that the blog is built using the wordpress open source software which gives us complete control of the template and source code. I have no need or desire to tackle a 'blogger' project -- I'm a control freak

FeedDigest has a free offer that allows RSS feeds to be published. I use it for one of my sites.

Hey pcdoc, where on the lipplyrealestate.com homepage is the RSS feed integrated?

As for integrating an RSS feed on your webpage, the best free script that I've found and have been using exclusively is FeedForAll's...

where on the lipplyrealestate.com homepage is the RSS feed integrated?

At the moment, we are using that area of the home page for a community listing.

With google visiting everyday, I counsel my accounts that the site needs frequent changes.
