10 users in from the SoCal MLS? Ok Morgan, you can only have 10 spots on page one of Google so the rest of those agents in the SoCal mls are SOL.
If you are looking for San Diego Real Estate or you want to view San Diego MLS listings (or at least that portion of the data feed that SANDICOR allows us to display on our websites) go to a local San Diego County real estate Agent's Site.

Now you got me thinking, Bob. I am on page one for search terms "my county MLS" and "every city MLS" I work, but not for "So Cal MLS". Some time ago, I figured that my county MLS search would be two times more popular than So Cal MLS. Can't imagine that So Cal MLS is now becoming a popular search term? Figure let Debbie F keep happy with that one, I'll keep the rest.

Deleted post.. Go figure...someone must have ESP up there as all my MLS data that was missing a good part of the day just reappeared. Guess you got the changeover accomplished. Thank, Aaron.

East of the 5, North of 133 and you are okay. Keep working your site and you should do well in your area. IMO, you still need to break a bunch of your pages up, though. You'll benefit for more SERP's..

An understatement. Something like it is not as good as it once was, but it might be good once for some term....

My apologies about the missing data today. The new script that updates the Socal database still needs a few tweaks. I'll update the database manually tomorrow and then complete the cron script Monday.

    Hey, Aaron,

Unbelievable as it may sound, but here is more to the saga about So Cal MLS changing TL and LD to cities..from an insider who works there..

SoCal is redoing the files tonight, so of tomorrow morning (December 19),
    • Talega will go back to being an area under San Clemente (no longer a city Talega).
    • Ladera Ranch (LD) will continue as being a city in the MLS.
So, we'll have to see if the snippet changes your tweaked still work, or if you need to remove it.

I can't believe they did this as a few complained out of some 45,000 agents in the board. You would think that they would do their homework first, or make a decision and stick to it ( this one only lasted less than a week!). How fortunate for those who had no clue there sites may have even been showing listing when they changed the code to city codes!

Real nice of them to keep you guys in the loop...

Bob - just because we have 10 users of SOCAL MLS, does not mean we have 10 full service SEO clients - in fact, we have maybe 2 currently on the program.

The same goes for any major metropolitan area - tons of users buy our templates, IDX etc but don't go full SEO - so going it alone, we aren't really worried with them competing with us for placement, although in some areas (With exceptional members such as Ryan Ward) ie Atlanta, we do have members doing exceptionally well without our SEO assistance. (And good on him!)

Most agents (In fact most SEO's) are not Ryan Ward however.

I can't keep up with the changes SoCal MLS is making. Do you guys (Aaron, Reed, etc) get updated info on a regular basis from SoCal? Like today, I find out Sr. Community is changed to be under legal description instead of Assoc Amenities. Short Sale and REO is now a required field instead of under legal. Assume this will affect my snippet codes pulling correct data, or do I just have to check the pages daily and let you know if they are not pulling properties and we will need to contact you to change the fields then? Most of the time I find out by accident when searching the MLS database. It's like they are out of control making changes...

Just want to be sure we are on the same page and/or if I (we) should be giving you information as we find out so we are proactive.. not reactive.

Thanks. Appreciate all you do for us in keeping us current.

I do get notifications of Major Data feed changes ... such things that would break the IDX feed if they didn't tell me ... which is nice ... but the changes to the way they do the fields I do not receive. So feel free to send em over
