Hehehhee.....I would like to go to the movies more often, but they are just so expensive now. And plus, we have half off pay per view cuz my bf works for the local cable/internet company, so i cant get movies for way cheaper whenever i want. But there is something about that nice big screen. I think in the future i will be going to the movies more often.

I went to an early show on Sunday (Something I never do) with my GF - we saw some cheesy vampire action flick called bloodrain - man was it a waste of $20!
I do like to go to the movies, but must admit if I get out every 3 months im lucky
Starting LEC 7 soon but it won't be called LEC 7 - LEC 2012 coming soon!
Crying babies, talkative teens, gum under the seats, soft-drink syrup on the floors, fatties up and down to the candy counter, no thank you.

I saw V for Vendetta last week, enjoyed it! But yes, for the most part, theatres are a rip off and make most of their money from over-priced concession foods.

Rarely ever, it has to be a really good movie or I have to be with some really hot girls. Neither of which has been happening lately...![]()
If it has Milla Jovovich in it, I'll go see it at the theater.
I rarely watch a movie in the theater anymore. Time goes so fast that it seems like movies are on cable before I even realize it. Since I have HDTV, a good movie looks pretty good on my television.
For me to go to the theater, it would have to be a very VISUAL movie and I would have to expect it to look pretty good and be written well. For example, I did see "V for Vendetta" but that movie disppointed me. "Serenity" I liked and that is the first movie I ever bought a DVD for, even though I already saw it.
I will go see "Silent Hill" at the theaters, though. The video game was so creepy with well-done visuals that they must attempt to duplicate that in the movie theater.
If it is just a "regular" movie, I'll wait till it comes out on cable and watch it on HDTV, if it still interests me by then.
I rarely, if ever, buy popcorn. After the movie, I go to FATBURGER.

I think I too will make my way to go see Silent Hill. I've played the games and would be interested to see the movie. Though I doubt it will follow closely with the game's, other than the general storyline.
Though the big screen is nice to watch, I would rather be comfortable at home where I'll see whatever movie eventually when it comes out on DVD. I think the last movie I watched was a local film called 'Bubble', which I guess was actually in the theatres! It was like watching the longest commercial in the world...and how it got a rating of R I will never know.

Considering I'm thinking about going to graduate school in film, I really ought to see more movies -- but other than some scattered "speculative" flicks like Serenity and Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, I've hardly seen anything at all in a while.
Personally I love going to the movies, but only the small theatre 4 blocks from my house. They are $5 for a early show and there is normally only 5-10 people in any given show. So it's like a private showing for my wife and I for $10. We always bring a bottle of water with us and rarely will buy any food. With all of that said we still haven't gone to one in 4+ months due to the baby, before that it was maybe once a month.
