I rank #1 in google for "puyallup realtor" but no where to be found in Yahoo for the same keywords, my understanding is that google takes longer to get good rankings than yahoo, does yahoo have something against me? Guess im curious why yahoo puts me so low.

for me google is the search engine that is very difficult to optimize. sigh!!

I've said it many times, I was #1 in Yahoo for my main kw's quickly & for a long time. I'm am now #1 in Google for those same kw's but nowhere to be found in Yahoo.

Same here...except we are #2 for ours in G and #1 in MSN. We are actually on page 1, and usually in the top 3 or 4 for just about every key word. I love MSN..they make me feel good about what im doing. Yahoo on the other hand...reminds me that thier is always something im doing wrong.

Same thing here with MSN - its where I go to feel good about my searches when Yahoo makes me mad - I submitted my site to their directory, not sure what else I should go about doing - could just take time since my site is relatively new, but google is usually the one that takes the longest and I fair well in there so I am at a loss.

Yahoo made an update recently that really made me scratch my head. They really have no clue what relevant websites are. I know it's frustrating but what can you do?

Wow Yahoo's update put me up to #3 for my keyword on like every term I go after. I was just thinking Yahoo had made a great update. They also dumped all the AA sites out which was even cooler.

Wow, just for the heck of it I rechecked things. Still nowhere to be found for my originally #1 site (Oak Lawn), but checked my Cook County site & it's #1-4 for several different kw's I checked.

I still believe my Oak Lawn site was originally dropped when it was with P2Agent because of problems encountered with them & seo issues. Many others (P2 sites & other template providers) dropped from Yahoo & Google, although I wasn't affected with G. This just goes to show that even with a totally different site/host it takes time to be forgiven for past transgressions.

I meant no offense to AA sites but it is nice to see your competitors fall from ranks while you climb them.

But I just meant as a comment overall as I watch thousands of search terms across hundreds of sites - I just dont think their results (Except for REW of course) arent very good.
